I can't believe its almost the end of 2011! We have so much to be thankful for. God continues to be faithful as He promises. We are looking forward to 2012 and all of the excitement that a new baby brings!
We've had a wonderful holiday season by spending time at home and resting, time with friends and family, and lots and lots of yummy food. I have certainly enjoyed all of the sweets over Christmas and I can feel the effects of it inside! She definitely has been in sugar shock and responds quickly to it. Over Thanksgiving, we went to Loris, a small town near the beach, where my Grandmother lives. I started my Christmas shopping and enjoyed the beginning of the Christmas season. We took our family Christmas picture and here is from start to finish how we got it done! My brothers will always be "brothers" no matter our ages....and our Mom was still standing behind the person taking the picture trying to make us laugh and smile....

Through December, I enjoyed decorating, working, and undecorating for the Holiday Market. John and I have been able to enjoy company with good friends, yummy outings for dinner, and looking at lights around town. Everyone gets very festive here and its fun to ride around to see. Over Christmas, John took some days off which is always a treat for me because I do get bored being by myself on my days off. We spent some time in Sumter, Columbia, and Loris. We have enjoyed the many laughs, gifts, and sermons in the past week. Its been a very special Christmas and we are very thankful for all of our family and our church.

I've spent time this week rearranging, cleaning out drawers, closets, etc. I think most people do this during this same week...its a good feeling! I've enjoyed getting her nursery ready and ironing her clothes to hang in the closet. I got several monogrammed items for her as Christmas presents and I can't wait to use them! I just wish I could tell her name so that I wouldn't have to "hide" everything, but her Daddy wants to save it for when he goes into the waiting room....I completely get that. My Mom knows her name only because its a name that I picked out before I was pregnant. John hung rods and drapes last night and this morning was very proud of the "feeling of a nursery" that just those brought. I am looking forward to getting the crib up in the next two weeks when it comes in and having a bedskirt made. I am on a fabric hunt for something in particular right now. I never knew how much it takes to get a nursery together, get all of the layers of clothes, the neccessities, and the car seats, etc. together. I spent about 3 hours this afternoon registering and I am not even finished. Its extremely overwhelming when you get in there to do that. I am making sure that I have the basics completed for now just incase she comes early. I am currently 29 weeks and have 11 weeks to go at the most. Its amazing how fast the time has flown and I can definitely say "nesting" mode has kicked in. Things in this house are in their place and spotless....I've got to keep the cleanliness up though b/c obviously I'll clean like 8 more times between now and 11 weeks from now. I pray that I do go full term. That would be such a blessing. I am feeling great almost everyday and everything is going very smoothly. I am so thankful to the Lord for His provision and strength throughout this pregnancy.
I recommend reading a book that I got for Christmas that I can't put down. Its Jesus + Nothing = Everything. Its been very healthy for me to read and I've learned a lot already within the first 4 chapters!
John has enjoyed yard work, reading, and hanging out with college friends. He has been a rock for me when I have "kind of feeling yucky" days and my encourager when I feel overwhelmed. He is such a gift and his ability to laugh in any situation and lead me will always brigthen up my day.
We hope that all of you have had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
