Summer Fun...

Its been awhile since John or I have posted...because we've been on the go and its all been a lot of fun.
I got out of school on May 26th, which was the day after John's 30th Birthday!  It was a big week that week...we drove down to Litchfield to be with my cousins on Friday and stayed until Monday afternoon on Memorial Day.  This past week I have been busy getting things in order, running errands that I never had a chance to do in the Spring, making summertime food, and we both had the stomach bug.    This past weekend I spent the day in Charlotte shopping with my mother-in-law and 2 sister-in-laws.  It was a lot of fun and we covered some territory in a day.  We then came back into town and loaded the car with luggage, a chainsaw, fresh cut hydrangeas, and our new clothes...quite a combination and we were off to meet the other halves at the lakehouse.  They were waiting on us to arrive with the driveway blown off, cars moved out of the way, and lights on.  It was nice to see them and the weekend of relaxation began.
Here are a few highlights from the first 10 days of summer....
playing "family", "celebrity", and "fish bowl" with my cousins and laughing so hard that it hurt really bad everytime, eating out, sitting on the beach, reading a good book, listening to beach music, fishing, walking on the beach, playing bachi ball, eating good food and delicious desserts, celebrating birthdays, swimming in the lake, running and jumping off the dock one time after another with John and my brother-in-law like we were 5, riding on the boat day and night, fellowshipping, shopping, watching the deer in my backyard, swinging on the porch during a thunderstorm, attending a USC baseball game (J), playing ping-pong several times, rocking, catching up with old friends, organizing around my house, doing yardwork, sleeping in, going out for lunch, exercising, praying, and being thankful and content in Jesus, who has given us these things to enjoy
