Is that the heartbeat I see?

John and I are filled with thankfulness and joy

as we share

that we are going to be parents!

John and I found out our exciting news at the very beginning of July.  I am currently 10 weeks and we heard the heartbeat 3 weeks ago.  I was very guarded going into the appointment because I had some unusual and abnormal symptoms in July.   My Dr. monitored me closely, which resulted in many tests.  I knew that we were supposed to see the heartbeat at this particular appointment and/or hear it, so I would not look at the screen at first.  John went with me to this appointment, and I will never forget him seeing it for the first time and saying, "Is that the heartbeat I see?"  Relief and thankfulness were my immediate emotions!  It was a jumping little heart in the center of a tiny, little body.  A life is truly a miracle.

I am due March 15, 2012.   We are so blessed and appreciative of His good gift to us.  Our prayer for this child is that he/she would grow up to love our Savior, Jesus Christ.    Its been a humbling experience and is definitely all in His hands. 

Our verse comes from Psalm 139: 15-16

"My frame was not hidden from you
   when I was made in the secret place,
   when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
   all the days ordained for me were written in your book
   before one of them came to be."
