Happy Easter!
John and I have been quite busy over the past 2 weeks and its all been so much fun. To sum it up, we are so thankful for our family and our friends who love us well and who we also enjoy being with.
We began getting together with some other couples a few months ago on a weekly basis for appetizers. All of the husbands are in a Bible Study together and so we've become great family friends through our gatherings. Its casual, laid back, and now that the weather is beautiful, we continue to create many memories together at each other's houses and backyards. Everyone has children except for John and I, but the kids bring so much fun! I love seeing them play together! We feel so blessed to have Godly friends who share this road of faith with us.
My Grandmother and I after church.
This is our family minus Will.
John and Dad were trying to be funny...bad combination together! :-)
They cannot stand to get their picture taken and feed off of each other.
My Uncle, Grandmother, and brother Burns.
John and I also spent time with my family over the weekend. We went to my Grandmother's and had such a great time. It was so refreshing to be with those that you love and to kick back together. I ate way too much (John did a better job than me of not overdoing it). My Grandmother's food is so delicious and I think I ate like half of the strawberry shortcake.....that had real whipping creme! We had some great laughs with each other and shared stories. My brother Burns is always a joy and keeps us laughing to the point that my ribcage hurt....badly!
My grandmother is a pianist at her church and it was a very pretty service. I cannot believe that she can still juggle so many things at her age. She continues to inspire me. We took some Easter pictures, but we really missed my brother Will. He is in college and needed to stay and study for exams. So, the pictures do not include him, but I've included his picture below.
